THE NEW SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Your daily helper app for a calm and proactive morning.

THE FOUNDATION (NIGHT BEFORE)

A calm morning starts the night before. Use this checklist to set yourself up for success. Click each item for details.

WIFE'S PERSONAL PREP
  • Shower at night.
  • Lay out your *own* clothes for the morning.
  • Prepare your coffee/tea station to be "press-and-go."
CONFIRM WITH NANNY

Ensure all school clothes, bags, and food are 100% ready for the morning.

8-YEAR-OLD'S "INSPECTION"

Have your daughter physically check that her uniform AND her extracurricular gear are packed. This makes her accountable for being ready.

PROBLEM SOLVER PLAYBOOKS

The schedule is the plan, but these are your tools. Use these interactive playbooks to handle in-the-moment challenges.

3-YEAR-OLD: CAR SEAT TANTRUM

He's resisting the car seat. Don't use the same trick twice. Use the buttons below to cycle through a new game every day.

3-YEAR-OLD: AFTERNOON ENERGY

The goal is to burn his energy and *prevent the accidental car nap*.

"ACTIVE WAITING" (DUBAI VERSION)

Between 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, go to an indoor play area or a large supermarket to keep him moving and stimulated.

THE NAP-REFUSAL STRATEGY

  • Replace "Nap Time" with "Quiet Time": 45 mins in his room with quiet toys. A sensory break is critical.
  • Stop the Car Nap: Actively keep him awake during pickup (loud music, snacks, "I Spy").
  • Move Bedtime Earlier: On non-nap days, bed by 6:45 PM / 7:00 PM.

8-YEAR-OLD: MORNING "FREEZE"

She's not defiant, she's overwhelmed. Use these *morning* strategies to validate her and move forward.

IN THE MORNING: THE "WORRY BOX"

When she freezes, have her write the "wobbly feeling" on paper and put it in a box. "The box will hold your worry. We will open it this afternoon. For now, you can put on your shoes."

IN THE MORNING: THE "5-MINUTE BUBBLE"

Replace the 40-min freeze with a 5-min *controlled* pause. "You have 5 minutes in your 'calm bubble.' When the timer beeps, it's time for shoes."

IN THE MORNING: THE "CONTROL SWITCH"

Break the freeze with a simple choice. "We have two jobs left: bag and shoes. Which one do you want to do first?"
